Posted by You already saw the pictures of us dancing during the Nebuta Parade. Before we went to get dressed up we visited the city of Aomori. First we stopped by the Nebuta wa rasse museum here you can learn about the process of making the nebuta floats and the history of the festival. It’s a very nice museum and gives you a taste of Nebuta even if you don’t come during the festival period.
For lunch we stopped by the Aomori fish market for nokkedon. Since Aomori is a coastal town there is a great choice of fresh seafood. There was a bit of a queue but that only means it’s good 
. Once inside you buy tickets which you can exchange of a bowl of rice and fresh sashimi at the different little shops inside the fishmarket.

Jullie hebben de fotos al gezien van ons aan het dansen tijdens de Nebuta parade, maar vooraf hebben we nog even wat van Aomori bezocht. Eerste halte was de Nebuta wa rasse museum, hier kan je alles leren over hoe de praalwagens gemaakt worden en de geschiedenis van het festival. Een zeer mooi museum waar je de sfeer kan opsnuiven, zelfs al kom je niet tijdens de festival periode.
Onze stop voor lunch was de verse vismarkt van Aomori. De stad ligt aan de zee dus er is een overvloed aan keuze voor verse vis en schelpdieren. Der was een wachtrij tot buiten maar dat wil gewoon zeggen dat het eten goed is . Zodra je binnen komt koop je tickets die je kan inwisselen voor een kom rijst en verschillende soorten sashimi bij de kleine winkeltjes in de vismarkt. super vers en lekker.
