Transfer day from Tokyo to Nagoya, but first we wanted to do something special. In Asakusa, the area where we were staying you have a lot of shrines and temples. 9 of these are specially dedicated to the 7 lucky gods and you can buy a scroll, visit these 9 shrines and get 9 special stamps on your scroll for good luck. Now another one for the ‘do as I say, not as I do” list. It’s +30° Celsius in August in Tokyo, it is a very nice walk, nothing challenging and it takes you through the more residential areas of Asakusa which is nice to see but I would recommend doing this during spring of fall because the heat is killing you. Hence why we had shaved ice kakigori for lunch :)
After lunch we took the Shinkansen to Nagoya, we arrived quite late so not real sightseeing here, we dropped our luggage at the hotel and went to a nearby izakaya for drinks and the local delicacy, tebasaki chicken wings. We are only staying one night in Nagoya so we can get an early bus to our next stop Gujo hachiman.
